A Few Notes from the UK
December 2004

Demesyne Farm - Yorkshire Dales where Christmas was spent.

230008: Christmas food shopping for 13.

250010 - 27: Christmas day gift unwrapping. All of Jay's presents made it there, a first for mum.

250018: Note the pile of used, yet neatly folded, wrapping paper to the right of Jack. Anal retentive?

250027: Jack's favorite present was a disc gun. Very James Bond pose. (Second favorite present: James Bond DVD's.)

250029: I have suggested that Peter use this shot for 'picture of the author' in his subsequent books.

28039 - 42: Views from and of the front of the villa we were in. The cat is called TC, and could eat its weight in Turkey in under an hour.

Droitwich - A really small town near the small town of Bromsgrove.

210002: There is only one main street.

210003: I don't know if I would want to buy anything from this shop, tempting as the sign is.

Oxford - A few days were spent here to see Handle's Messiah at the Sheldonian. Jack and Emma are students here.

190051 - 57: Jack was kind enough to give me a tour of Oxford University - much of which was forgotten in t\he Christmas blur.

190060: The Sheldonian.

Ravenscar - Located a few miles from Demesyne Farm on a bluff.

270031: (LR) Mum, Peter, Max and Ruth. Ruth is cold, not concerned about having her photo taken.

280045: There was a 100m drop on the other side of this gate. I guess that there used to be land on the other side, but, it fell into the sea.

280048 - 63: Ruined castle/fort overlooking the ocean.

Worcester - A day was spent wandering around Worcester and looking at the cathedral and crypt.

110043: Trees by the canal which look suspiciously like a grove of Whumping Willows from Harry Potter.

110045: Bricks marking previous flood points near the canal.
